Bio for Paul Romero
A proud son of the Garden state, Paul has performed in NYC at Manhattan Class Company (Anadarko with David Patrick Kelley written by Timothy Nelson Blake), the Ark Theater (Chopin in Space see NY Times review), and The Jewish Repertory Theater (A Naughty Knight), as well as regionally at the Shakespeare Theatre in DC (Cyrano). (The Comedy of Errors), Portland Stage Company (The Comedy of Errors), A Conservatory Theatre in Seattle (Ave X), the Huntington Theatre in Boston (Cyrano de Bergerac), the Santa Fe Festival Theatre (Wild Oats with Kelsey Grammer), Riverside Theatre in FL (Midnight Clear) and elsewhere. He is proudest of his work as Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliet”, The Grave Digger in “Hamlet”, Gratiano in “The Merchant of Venice”(all at Westerly Shakespeare in the Park in RI), Porthos in “The Three Musketeers”, and as Ubazz in “Avenue X”, and he is featured on the cast album of that show.
Television credits include principal work on Spin City, Law & Order, 100 Centre Street, Chappelle’s Show, All My Children, Guiding Light, One Life to Live, the Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
