BUSINESS OF ACTING SEMINARS
My name is Paul Romero. I have been a working actor in New York City for over 20 years. Read my resume' or my bio for my credits.I have worked extensively in Film, TV and on Stage, as well as many commercial and industrial venues.
When I went to school for my BFA, there was no curriculum to prepare and educate me in the basic business skills of the acting profession. Over the past twenty years I have spoken to literally hundreds of my fellow actors and learned that the majority were never trained in this area so vital to forging a career. Colleges and Universities produce a large number of fine actors every year, but very few of them are equipped to handle the business tasks required to be a successful working actor in NYC. They have not been given the tools.
I have created a seminar designed to acquaint college acting students with what to expect in the professional world, how to cope, and how to create a career in our very competitive business. I have no experience in how to become famous. I know a great deal about maintaining a career over the long term.
I would be very happy to come to your school and convey the benefit of my experience to your students.
